Won Tun Pastry

Ingredients
- 2 cups plain flour
- ⅔ cups boiling water
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Sift flour into bowl- pour in half of the water, then oil, then the rest of the oil.
- Mix quickly with chopsticks or wooden spoon to form a dough.
- Turn dough out onto floured board and knead lightly until smooth and glossy.
- Return to lightly greased bowl and allow to stand for 20 minutes.
- Dust board with flour and form dough into a long roll 2.5cm in diameter.
- Cut into 2.5cm pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
- Flatten with hands, then roll out into squares 10 x 10cm.
- Sprinkle each one lightly with flour and wrap in greaseproof paper until ready for use.
- Note:
- To make smaller pastry squares- form the dough into a long roll 2cm in diameter and cut into 2cm pieces, to make 6cm squares.
